The Czech food processor Agrofert has acquired a 54% share in Milkagro, a company that controls dairy firm Olma Olomouc. Agrofert produces a number of meat products and by investing into Milkagro it is pressing ahead with its strategy of diversifying its portfolio of food processing companies. The Czech Republic is home to a buoyant food industry and BMI is forecasting food consumption to grow by 36.36% in value between 2009 and 2013.
