The British Airport Authority (BAA) is likely to attract massive interest from any number of infrastructure companies, after the UK's Competition Commission called for the divestment of at least two of its airports. The Competition Commission holds that due to BAA's dominant position in the market, there have not been adequate incentives for increasing capacity in the congested London area airports. BAA was bought by Spanish infrastructure company Ferrovial in 2006 for GBP10bn.
