Tyson Foods, a Fortune 500 company and the world's largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork, has set its sights on emerging markets. Tyson has stated that its long-term strategy is to focus on international markets, especially Asia, Mexico and South America. The Arkansas-based company has acquired a 51% stake in Godrej Foods, a subsidiary of the Godrej Agrovet and a leading agribusiness with US$250mn in annual sales.
