Spanish integrated oil and gas producer Repsol YPF has announced plans to spend between US$1.5 and US$2bn on developing the potentially vast crude oil reserves discovered at Brazil's deepwater Carioca oil field on Block BM-S-9 in the Santos Basin. This will represent a 300% increase on the original planned investment.
