The Blackstone Group announced on June 19 that it has agreed to buy Apria Healthcare for US$1.6bn, their first major leveraged buyout since the debt markets tightened last summer. Blackstone will pay US$21 a share, a 33% premium on their June 18 closing price of US$16.02.
