US chemicals company Chemtura may have attracted the interest of private equity firms Blackstone Group and Apollo Management, The Financial Times has reported. The possible acquisition, which is currently without confirmation, sent Chemtura's share price up US$0.69 to US$8.49 on May 27 when the news broke.
