The government of Kuwait began the sale process of its national carrier Kuwait Airways Corp (KAC) on April 28. The government plans to sell two stakes in the company: a 40% stake to the public and a 35% stake to a long-term investor within the next two years. Kuwait's parliament approved the sale in January. The Kuwait Investment Authority was asked by the government to coordinate the assessment of the airlines assets with international consultancies as the first step towards the sale.
