Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, looks like it won't miss the Russia and Eastern Europe emerging markets bandwagon. On April 14 it announced that it has recruited German retail executive, Stephan Fanderl, to become the company's President of Emerging Markets, East. Fanderl is said to be charged with the task of exploring opportunities in the region.
