David Neeleman, the founder and chairman of JetBlue Airways, a US discount airline, has said that he will launch a Brazilian domestic airline which will begin flights in 2009. The airline, which has yet to be named, will be based in São Paulo. Neeleman has raised US$150mn in financing and will purchase 36 Embraer jets worth as much as US$3bn.
