Following CFW's report on those banks vying for Temasek's stake in Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) (see 'Final Bidders Announced For Stake In Indonesian Bank' March 17 2008) which included HSBC, Malayan Banking Bhd, Kookmin Bank and Bank of China, the winning bidder was announced on March 26. Malayan Banking will pay US$2.7bn for the 56% stake held by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund Temasek.
