The Saudi Railways Organisation (SRO) will announce by June the winner of the 'Saudi Landbridge' project worth an estimated US$5bn. The project includes the construction of a 950km rail link between Riyadh and the Red Sea port of Jeddah and 115km connecting the Gulf cities of Jubail and Dammam. It will link the three port cities and pass through Riyadh, creating a cross country cargo and passenger network.
