The global M&A rebound is continuing to power ahead at full steam. And one industry sector in particular is playing a starring role: the power and energy sector. M&A activity in the sector has enjoyed its fastest ever start to a year on record, with US$93.7bn of deals inked so far in 2011 (correct to February 21), according to Thomson Reuters data.
