América Móvil Reaps Rewards of Consolidation

Investment in América Móvil's telecoms assets in 2011 is set to reach MXN10bn (US$832mn), according to company owner, Carlos Slim. He also plans to invest the same amount in Mexican fixed-line operator Telmex, which released its Q410 results and had a 29% decrease in profits. Following América Móvil's purchase of Telmex Internacional in mid-2010, CFW believes the company is beginning to reap the rewards of its consolidation plans in 2011. _x000d_
