L'Oreal Continues To Work With Nestlé At The Same Time As Analysts Ponder Takeover Defence
December 2010 | M&A AnalysisAnalysts at Exane BMP Paribas have suggested that cosmetics giant L'Oreal could use its considerable cash pile to fund large takeovers in an effort to make the firm a less attractive takeover target for food and drink giant Nestlé. The report suggests that the firm is likely to be sitting on around EUR2.7bn of net cash by the end of 2012 and highlighted cosmetics brands Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Arden as possible targets.
