B.net Flexes Muscles in Croatia After Merger With Total TV

Croatian cable operator B.net is merging its operations with DTH service provider Total TV, strengthening B.net's position as a leading provider of pay-TV. This follows an agreement, effective December 1 2010, between Austria's Burgenlandische Elektrizitatswirtschafts Group (BEWAG), owner of B.net and investment fund Mid Europa Partners (MEP), which controls Total TV. CFW expects B.net's multi-platform service to increase competition between other pay-TV service providers in Croatia, most of which still operate on single platforms.
