Tunisie Telecom Sale Offers Risks And Opportunities

Incumbent fixed-line and broadband operator Tunisie Telecom is expected to list its shares on the Tunis stock exchange as well as a European bourse before the end of 2010. The dual listing would place the operator among the vanguard of high-profile Tunisian companies looking to benefit from multi-state listings and its success would likely pave the way for more of its peers to do the same. Shares would be contributed by the Tunisian government and by a minority shareholder based in the UAE.
