Vivo Resolution Coming Soon?

The Vivo ownership saga continues. Telefónica's bid to gain full control of Brazil's mobile market leader has still not reached a satisfactory conclusion with Portugal Telecom (PT). Rumours have been circulating, seeing both the Portuguese and Brazilian governments vowing to protect their locally owned operators while Telefónica's Brazilian fixed-line unit Telesp has reportedly acquired up to US$17bn in possible funding for the deal. However, a resolution to all this may become clear by the end of June.
