CFW Sees Consolidation Path For Brazilian Telecoms

Integration of Telmex Internacional's Embratel with América Móvil's Claro is set to begin within two months, according to the Brazilian press. In itself the news is unsurprising as the acquisition of Telmex Internacional by América Móvil is partly based on the merger of the operations. However, CFW believes that external factors have played a part in encouraging the merger of operations in Brazil, ahead of other markets where the two companies are present.
