Another Privatisation Plan For Ukrtelecom, But Investors Will Tread Cautiously

The Ukrainian government has outlined another plan to privatise the state-owned fixed-line incumbent operator, Ukrtelecom. The government intends to sell its entire 92.79% stake in the company. CFW welcomes the announcement, but reasons that investors will want to tread with caution, given the operator's history of failed privatisation attempts, and the uncertain policy and regulatory environment in the country's telecoms sector.
