CFW Sees Partnerships Before Mergers In Bangladesh Telecoms

The CEO of Orascom Telecom Holdings Group, Khaled Bichara, said that the company is ready for a merger for its Bangladeshi operations, Banglalink. With six operators present in the market, Bichara believes some merger and acquisition (M&A) activity is inevitable. While CFW sees M&A as a long-term prospect for the Bangladeshi market, there are several factors to take into account that mean we do not expect this to take place in the short run.
