M&A Bidding Wars: Competing Bids Surge In Q110
April 2010 | M&A AnalysisAs economies worldwide continue their slow assent out of financial crisis, the global M&A market is turning into something of a breeding ground for bidding wars. With firms busy divesting less profitable non-core assets in 'shrink to grow' strategies and with company valuations still relatively low, we see the number of competing bids continuing to rise as the recovery picks up steam. In Q110 thirteen competitive bids were announced totalling US$20.0bn, according to data provider Dealogic.
