Oi Looks At International Expansion Options

At the time of its acquisition of Brasil Telecom at the end of 2008, Brazilian telecoms operator Oi indicated it would be interested in expanding beyond its current reach. As BMI had expected, the company is interested in neighbouring markets such as Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and the Guyanas. However, company President Luiz Eduardo Falco also cited the Middle East and Africa as possible locations for its international ventures.
