Chinese Demand For Commodities Fuelling Shipping IPOs

With the hard-hit shipping industry past its nadir, a string of shipping firms are starting to brave the tough IPO waters in the US once again. Fuelled by the rush to tap into China's rising demand for commodity imports, it seems that debt and equity markets offer a more attractive means of financing than banks for both dry bulk and tanker firms.
