Australian Equities Rally Cannot Ensure Success Of PE-Backed Exits

While a rally in Australian equities has opened the window for private equity (PE) firms to exit their portfolio investments via IPOs, the 51% climb in the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index over the past twelve months certainly cannot ensure the success of such exits. In a similar vein to a number of equity markets worldwide, Australia has begun to see an increasing number of PE firms eager to exit investments after two years in hibernation.
