Autoliv Targets Asian Growth Markets

Swedish safety component supplier Autoliv has extended its purchase of assets from US parts-maker Delphi with the acquisition of its Asian safety products business. Without disclosing the value of the deal, Autoliv stated that the buy-out includes the intellectual property rights, physical assets and workforce of Delphi's air conditioning and seatbelt units in South Korea and China. This follows the purchase of the firm's safety business in Europe and North America in 2009.
