Mid-Market Funds To Outperform As PE Rebounds In 2010
January 2010 | Corporate Financing AnalysisAfter a tough year for business in 2009, a rebound in the number of private equity (PE) deals is expected in 2010 - according to the findings of a survey by professional services firm BDO. However, it seems owing to their poor track record in generating returns, the so-called mega PE funds will not be invited back to the buyout party. Instead, it is PE houses in the mid-market bracket that are bracing themselves for a surge in investment.
