Venture Capital IPOs Make A Comeback

A few months back, the mention of venture capital or IPOs was a conversation killer. Pairing them together was even less of an option. Yet times are changing. In the year-to-date, there have been eleven venture capital (VC)-backed IPOs in the US, or 17% of the total, versus seven such IPOs in 2008, which suggests a revival of the sector. These eleven deals raised US$1.4bn or double the amount raised in 2008.
