Despite mainland Chinese real estate developers continuing to apply to list in Hong Kong in a modern-day 'land rush', the access to capital that 2009 has provided such firms appears to be coming to an end. Concerns of renewed asset bubbles in China are increasing by the day, and with the rebound in Chinese capital markets beginning to level out, the window of opportunity to profit from the upturn is swiftly closing. In fact for some developers, who have been forced to abandon their plans to go public in recent weeks, it seems it already has.
