Macquarie Taps Favourable Wall Street M&A

Australia's biggest investment bank, Macquarie Group, has boosted its investment banking capabilities in the US by acquiring Wall Street investment bank Fox-Pitt Kelton Cochran Caronia Waller, from a consortium of PE players. The move by Sydney-based Macquarie, is neither the first or unlikely to be the last distressed acquisition it makes, on its quest to become a global (instead of just an Australian) investment banking power.
