One Year On: What Lehman's Collapse Did To M&A

It looked like the world had ended and on the face of it, it had. Dealogic data shows that in the twelve month period from Lehman's bankruptcy filing on September 15 2008, global announced M&A stood at US$2.2trn, down 39% on the previous twelve month period's US$3.6trn. On the bright side, those companies which were brave enough to make acquisitions in the months after the Lehman collapse were rewarded in terms of market valuation.
