Ecopetrol Highlights Bond Market Opportunities

Colombia's state oil company Ecopetrol offered US$1.5bn of US denominated 10-year bonds on July 16. The offering, Ecopetrol's first, was met with strong demand from institutional investors. Indeed, the demand was more than four times the amount offered, which encourages CFW's view that the high amount of activity in the corporate bond market in H1, may not peter out completely in H2.
