Lundin Looks To Refocus With African Sale
February 2009 | M&A News AlertSwedish independent explorer Lundin Petroleum has announced the sale of its African subsidiaries Lundin East Africa and Lundin Kenya to Canada's Africa Oil. Lundin East Africa holds 85% interests in and operatorship of four blocks (2, 6,7 and 8) in the Ogaden region and the Adigala area of Ethiopia, while Lundin Kenya holds a 100% operating stake in Block 10a and a 30% stake in Block 9, both in the Anza Basin. In addition, the deal will involve the transfer of an option that Lundin holds over Blocks 35 and M10-A in Somalia, which are currently subject to force majeure
