Nigeria Banks: More Consolidation On The Cards

Although the long term outlook for Nigeria's banking sector is buoyed by the country's fundamentals - oil wealth, solid growth forecasts and a large population with minimal access to financial services - given the rapid deterioration of the global economy and the collapse of global oil prices, CFW believes there is a risk the sector could undergo a series of bankruptcies, bailouts and consolidations over the next two years.
