News Corp Buys Rest Of Jamba
October 2008 | M&A News AlertMedia conglomerate News Corp has taken full ownership of mobile content provider Jamba. News Corp, which bought a 51% stake in 2007 in Jamba for US$188mn and formed a joint venture with VeriSign, will pay US$200mn to acquire the remaining stake from VeriSign. Jamba, which makes wallpapers, ringtones and games for cellular telephones, will likely join News Corp's Fox Mobile Entertainment unit as the initial 51% stake was incorporated into the same unit.
