SPX Gets US$102mn For LDS T&M
October 2008 | M&A News AlertOn October 1 US technology conglomerate SPX Corporation confirmed that it would sell its LDS Test & Management business to UK-based instrument and controls maker Spectris for US$102mn. LDS manufactures integrated vibration test and measurement equipment and software for clients in the aerospace, defence, automotive and electrical industries. Spectris CEO John O'Higgins said that LDS would provide 'significant additional product and software capability to enhance our automotive and aerospace customers' productivity in their research and development cycles.'
