Tyson Makes Major Brazilian Investment

The US' Tyson Foods has continued its international expansion with the agreement to purchase three Brazilian poultry companies on September 18. The firm will buy Macedo Agroindustrial and Avicola Itaiopolis in the state of Santa Catarina and acquire a 70% stake in ParanĂ¡-based Frangobras. Tyson, the world's largest meat and poultry processor, said that the deal offers potential for domestic and international sales growth.
