Jay Mart Plans IPO, Bangkok Life Delays

Volatile markets and the desire to get a tax benefit by year end have produced different reactions from Thai companies mulling an initial public offering. Two announcements, both on September 22, had Thailand's leading mobile phone distributor Jay Mart reschedule a once delayed IPO for November and Bangkok Life Assurance delay its IPO scheduled for this month. Others to cite unfavourable market conditions and to delay in September include Asia Green Energy and Thai Polycons. Jay Mart being one of a few that have said they will return to the market.
