Vishay Offers US$1.6bn For IRF
August 2008 | M&A News AlertThere was yet more activity in the electronics industry on August 15, when market-leader Vishay Intertechnology made a US$1.6bn cash offer for US technology firm International Rectifier (IRF). At US$21.22 per share, the offer represents a 13% premium on the firm's August 14 closing price of US$18.82, and a 20% premium on its 30-day moving average of US$17.69.
