Sempra Plans Expansion With Planned Buy of EnergySouth
July 2008 | Top StoriesSan Diego, California-based Sempra Energy has agreed to acquire EnergySouth for US$510mn. If approved, EnergySouth shareholders would receive US$61.50 per share. The acquisition will expand Sempra's natural gas operations further into the southeastern US, an area it says is one of the fastest-growing natural gas markets.
