Power Privatisation Gets Underway In Iran

Iran's Minister of Energy has announced that they are in the final stages of privatising 10 power plants. By March 2009, the Ministry aims to have handed over 80 plants over to the private sector as it seeks to reform the power industry and increase capacity.
