Inmet Wants Control Of Panamanian Joint Venture

Inmet Mining has made an offer of CAD2 (US$2) per share to acquire all outstanding shares of Petaquilla Copper. The two Canadian miners are partners in a joint venture (JV) in Panama. If Inmet is successful in its bid for Petaquilla, it will gain control over the Petaquilla copper project currently under development.
