Weather Channel Sold For US$3.2bn

In one of the biggest private equity deals this year, the consortium of Bain Capital, Blackstone and NBC Universal agreed to buy the Weather Channel for US$3.2bn. The deal highlights the contrast between leveraged buy-outs today and those prior to the credit crisis.
