MDU Buys Intermountain Gas

Bismarck-based diversified energy and construction firm MDU Resources Group announced on July 1 that it will pay US$328mn for Intermountain Gas, an Intermountain Industries subsidiary. Financed through long-term debt and equity, the acquisition should allow MDU to move forward with plans to grow across its regulated utility service. Intermountain currently has 300,000 strong customer base throughout 74 communities in Idaho.
