Oil Is Not Well With GM

General Motors (GM) announced on June 3 that it will halt production in four of its North American factories which produce sport utility vehicles (SUV) and pickup trucks by 2010. The 'structural shift' the company is undertaking is in response to high price prices which is turning US consumers towards more fuel-efficient vehicles. Furthermore, GM's Chairman and Chief Executive Rick Wagoner has said that the company is considering selling its well-known Hummer brand.
