Foreign Banks Increase Presence In Vietnam

The State Bank of Vietnam has given the go-ahead to four foreign investors taking a 25% stake in Eximbank in what is the latest, but surely not the last, instance of foreign banks entering the Vietnamese banking market. CFW foresees continued interest in the Vietnamese banking industry in spite of the ongoing liquidity squeeze facing banks as the government tightens monetary policy.
