Continental Ends Merger Talks With United Airlines

Continental's board stated that the risks outweighed the benefits, while it is reported that sources said Continental was concerned over United's weak financial condition and its poor relationship with its unions. The decision comes just after United reported first quarter losses of US$537mn.
