Russia's KAMAZ Sale Plans

KAMAZ, Russia's largest truck maker, has plans to make a major share issue. Although, no firm details have been announced to date, it has been reported that the manufacturer may sell a quarter of its shares in 2008 to a strategic European investor. The deal, which would be worth around US$1.25bn, is said to have already sparked the interest of Germany's MAN, Sweden's Scania and Volvo, and Iveco of Italy.
