There are indications that Singapore's real estate investment trusts (REITs) face a period of M&A activity over the next 12 months, as they are suffering from higher costs of refinancing short-term debt. A period of consolidation would be beneficial in the long run, as it would result in larger REITs that are better poised to acquire assets
