US Private Equity Looks To Asia
February 2008 | Private Equity AnalysisThe corollary to a US private equity business that is clearly feeling the pinch appears to be a sharp increase in the number of firms looking for opportunities overseas, particularly in Asia. Some players are further along this road than others. While TPG Capital is putting the finishing touches up its deal to buy a 43.4% stake in Japanese lender NIS Group, JPMorgan looks like it wants a piece of the Asia action too.
