Bank Of America Keeping M&A Afloat

Only Bank of America (BoA)'s rescue acquisition of former number one U.S. home loan lender Countrywide Financial for $4.1 billion, together with the defence acquisitions on which its IB subsidiary advised Alliant Techsystems, have kept the opening weeks of 2008 from registering as a full-on M&A drought.
